Five Sense

"Theodor Rombouts - Allegory of the Five Senses"

People need information in the form of stimuli from the outside environment around to be able to live life well. In order stimuli originating from outside the body can be captured body needs certain tools called senses. These five sensory organs that are eye, nose, ear, skins and tongue.

Each person normally has five senses are functioning properly to catch the stimuli so as to provide a response in accordance with the wishes or according to our instincts. Senses still handicapped people can live but will not be able to enjoy life like a normal human being.

Five Sense

1 . Sense of Sight (Eye)
The eye is used to seeing sense the surrounding environment in the form of images that were able to recognize the objects around him quickly. The number of the human eye there are two pieces that work together to support each other. People who do not have eyes that need help called blind cane, guide dogs, etc. for ease in recognizing the surrounding environment and also to move .
2 . Sense of Smell (Nose)
The nose is the sense that we use to recognize the surrounding environment or something of the scent produced . We were able to easily identify foods that are rotten with fresh simply by the scent of the food. In the nose there is a lot of chemo receptor cells to recognize odors.
3 . Sense of Taste (Tongue)
The tongue is a sense organ that functions to sense stimuli sense of the objects that go into our mouths . The tongue can respond to a wide variety of types and flavors such as sweetness, bitterness, sourness and saltiness. We can enjoy food and drink because of the taste buds. Front part of the tongue is useful to feel the salty taste, which is part of the side next to the sour taste, the front edge serves to taste the sweet taste and the back part of the tongue to taste bitter.
4 . Sense of Hearing (Ear)
The ear is a sensory apparatus that has a function to hear the sounds around us so that we can know / identify what is happening around us without having to see it with our own eyes. People who can not hear is called deafness. Our ear consists of three parts, namely the outer, middle and inner parts.
5 . Sense of Touch (Skin)
The skin is our sense organ capable of receiving stimuli temperature temperature, touch, pain, pressure, texture, and so forth. In the skin there are receptors that are branching dendrites of sensory neurons that is widely available around the fingertips, the tip of the tongue, forehead, etc.

Sensory Organs

When divided into groups of sensory organs, it can be divided into groups of three groups, namely:
1 . Chemoreceptors
Chemoreceptors are sensory organs that respond to chemical stimuli , namely the senses of smell (Nose) and the sense of taste (Tongue).
2 . Mekanoreseptor
Mekanoreseptor are sensory organs that respond to stimuli gravity, tension and pressure of the sound sense of touch (Skin) and auditory (Ear) .
3 . Photoreseptor
Photoreseptor are sensory organs that respond to light stimuli such as the sense of sight or eyes.

Our senses is the most important asset of our bodies and therefore our senses keep your health in order to remain healthy and function properly.
